At the end of a long week, when you’re looking ahead to the next week, and never-ending list of “to-dos” that come with having a comfortable home, a business, a blog and all the rest of it, I find it therapeutic to go online and browse it for unusual and pretty things.
Sometimes its art, a column I found that I enjoyed, anything really. Something that keeps my creativity bubbling.
So I’m pretty new to all of this blogging, but I decided that id love this as a weekly post for everyone, just to share things that maybe you wouldn’t have come across before.
I always find that perusing blogs and , of course, Pinterest…(oh pinterest you sweet, sweet thing) and the interwebs in general, gives me the relax-factor I’m looking for.
SO without further ado let’s get into it:

I love coffee. Not gunna lie, need it as soon as my eyes open, and my day is not complete unless i have had at least 3, yes 3 , lovely caffeine kicks. IS it good for us though? is having all that caffeine and milk, and lets face it sometimes flavourings, any good for us?
I’m not going to sit here and rant about the negative effects of coffee, no no NO , quite the contrary! according to healthline.com, it has been scientifically proven to be beneficial to us (sugar and flavourings not included…obvs).
Coffee Drinkers Have a Lower Risk of Some Types of Cancer
Cancer is one of the world’s leading causes of death and is characterized by uncontrolled growth of cells in the body.
Coffee appears to be protective against two types of cancer… liver cancer and colorectal cancer.
Liver cancer is the third leading cause of cancer death in the world, while colorectal cancer ranks fourth.
Studies show that coffee drinkers have up to a 40% lower risk of liver cancer.
One study of 489,706 individuals found that those who drank 4-5 cups of coffee per day had a 15% lower risk of colorectal cancer .
You see? If you want to find out more about the many benefits i suggest you click on this link and head on over there and read this article. I loved it and feel a whole lot better about loving coffee.
So it’s getting to that time of year again. You can’t tell whether your speaking to your neighbour 4 doors down, or they are actually a reincarnation of someone, buried in Egypt circa 2500 BC.
This being said, i love the sense of anticipation that comes along with Halloween.
The costumes, the buzz of excitement from the children, a mix of E-numbers and giddyness being dressed up as someone…sorry…some-THING else!
But i hear you cry, what about the pets in our families?
